Bullet Train

From the 3rd to the 6th, we were in Hiroshima. More on that soon, but first the transport. This was our first trip  on a bullet train, or shinkansen. This was not quite as exciting as a small part of my brain had expected, in much the same way that travelling on an aeroplane is not really all that exciting. In fact, it was actually somewhat reminiscent of an aeroplane on the inside. However, it did allow us to travel some 330km (I can't seem to find the rail distance) in 1.5 hours, and looked cool and space age.

Unfortunately, all the connecting buses, trains and trams to get from home to hostel took longer than the bullet train ride, but at least I can say that I've been on a Shinkansen.
